Golf Coach Resigns Thanks to Paris Hilton…Say What?

It’s not too often women’s golf receives attention, besides ripping Michelle Wie over and over again…Although that has become quite boring. This sport rarely makes cameos in the sporting world, much less women’s collegiate golf. Although that has suddenly changed, well at least on this day thanks to the women’s golf program at the University of Georgia. Head Coach Todd McCorkle was an extremely successful women's golf coach at Georgia…Winning a National Title back in 2001. Now, many might be asking, "So, what"? Fair question. Although he resigned late last week…Again, "so what", right?
We all know coaches show their teams movies the night before a game of a match for several reasons…To motivate them, to inspire them, to relax them. Such titles might include films such as Rudy, Miracle, any of the Rocky’s and so on. Well, turns out this very successful golf coach found the University of Georgia no longer needed nor wanted his services anymore due to inappropriate conduct on his part. So he was the male version of Pokey Chapman…And then some! Among the incidents they reported was McCorkle sharing a sexually explicit Paris Hilton video from the Internet with the team. Oh shit, I knew I neglected to mention that title. Beat that Pokey! Now, if that doesn’t give an entirely new perspective on watching a movie a night before a game, (or in this case 18 holes) what does? I know that would get me all fired up for sure…I’m just not sure if 18 holes of golf would be on my mind after watching this. I guess Blockbuster was all out of Caddyshack, Tin Cup, or Billy Madison, huh? Ever think to go across the street to see if the Hollywood Video had any copies of these flicks in? Gee, I wonder if that’s why Phil Mickelson won The Players yesterday? Was he sparked on by Paris…I guess that’s one way to come out of a slump and rectify, (my bad, bad choice of words there) the demons.
One can only imagine what this knucklehead was thinking. Showing his group of ladies the Internet version of the movie, some nerve! What, you couldn’t have splurged for a DVD copy? I know a Women’s Golf program’s budget is tight, a lot tighter than Paris, (sorry, I couldn’t resist) but come on McCorkle! I’m guessing Todd you’ve signed the hundreds of petitions trying to stop Paris from going to jail, haven’t you? In attention to the "Night in Paris" accusation, this dumbass, and I do mean complete dumbass was also accused in a number of reports of having said a number of sexual comments to players. There was also mention by at least one player of inappropriate physical contact. "He is randomly rubbing your back or flipping hair, or pat on butt -- and otherwise not think anything about it -- but with all the other stuff feels wrong," the unnamed player wrote. Again, beat that Pokey!
So just as in the Pokey Chapman case, the University of Georgia asked for the resignation of this fine human being. Gee, there’s a shocker! Although what’s up with these SEC schools and their women’s programs always making the headlines? I guess that’s a way to grab headlines…Though, this wouldn’t be my first choice as going about how to do it! However, it should be noted that unlike in the case with Chapman, McCorkle claims he wasn't forced to resign. Going on to mention that he was leaving the team to assist his wife, LPGA golfer Jenna Daniels with her career. Am I the only one here thinking Daniels probably wants your lame ass to follow Hilton to the slammer right about now. Perhaps Paris might help you out and start the circulation of petitions that you don’t deserve the slammer, seeing as how you’re such a big fan of hers!
Vote in LastRowSports.com which asks the question of the outcome of the latest “Golden Boy Productions Main Event”. In one corner is Donald “The Apprentice” Trump…In the other is Mark "The Benefactor" Cuban.
We assure you that by voting in this poll you won’t stand to lose the $44.95 pay-per-view fee! Although we make no guarantees that Rosie O’Donnell won’t chime in with her “view”.
