Godwin Turk (Godwin Lee Turk) was born on October 15, 1950 in Houston, Texas. After going to high school at Phillis Wheatley (Houston, TX), Turk attended Southern University and Univeristy of California. Turk made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the New York Jets. He played for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1975 was Godwin Turk's best year.
