Glenn Wright (Forest Glenn Wright) was born on February 6, 1901 in Archie, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1924 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1924, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 7 home runs and 111 RBI. Wright played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Brooklyn Robins, Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 11 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Glenn Wright's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1925, when he slugged 18 home runs, hit for a .308 average and knocked in 121 runs. However, others believe that it was 1924, when he hit for a .287 average and knocked in 111 runs.
