Born on September 11, 1905 in Corning, New York, Glenn Spencer (Glenn Edward Spencer) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Giants over the course of his 5 year career. Spencer broke into the bigs on April 11, 1928 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 5.40 ERA in 156.2 innings pitched in 1930, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Glenn Spencer's best season was 1931, when he posted a 3.42 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 51 batters.
