CAREER: Underrated senior linebacker who has been a steady member of the linebacking unit the last three seasons...Can play all three linebacker positions and is a fixture in the nickel defense and on special teams...In three years has made 109 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 12 QB pressures, four pass breakups and one fumble recovery...Has the most starts of any returning linebacker (tied with Tavares Gooden)...Graduated in December 2006 with a degree in marketing and is pursuing a second major in business management.

2006 (JUNIOR): Third-year linebacker who started 11 of 12 games played...Productive and underrated player ranked fifth on the team with a career-high 64 tackles (32 solo), four tackles for loss, seven QB pressures and two pass deflections...Also scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery...Named the team's Linebacker of the Year...Played nickel linebacker much of the year, as well as in the middle and on the weakside...Started in a nickel defense in six games and at weakside linebacker in five games...Did not start the opener vs. Florida State...Started at nickel linebacker the next five games...Started at weakside linebacker at Duke in place of an injured Jon Beason, then moved to middle linebacker later in the game. 2005 (SOPHOMORE): In his second season, played in all 12 games, making one start and often playing as one of two linebackers in the nickel defenses...Made 28 tackles (14 solo), along with 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups and two QB pressures...Played mostly on special teams early in the season, then posted six tackles in the fourth game vs. South Florida...Made five tackles a week later vs. Duke...Made his only start of the season in a nickel defense at Temple, posting two solo tackles (one for loss) and a pass breakup...Played most of the North Carolina game as a reserve linebacker, registering two solo tackles...Saw limited action at Virginia Tech but notched a solo sack...Had no tackles at Wake Forest, then played most of the Georgia Tech game, making three solo tackles...Made a half sack and two tackles for loss vs. Virginia...In the Peach Bowl vs. Louisiana State, played nickel linebacker and posted five tackles (three solo), including one tackle for loss, one QB pressure and one pass defensed.

2004 (FRESHMAN): In his first season on the field, played in 10 games, making two starts (Georgia Tech and Louisville)...Also was a regular on special teams coverage units...Totaled 17 tackles, five tackles for loss and one fumble recovery...Did not play in the season opener, then saw action in his first game as a Hurricane on Sept. 18 vs. Louisiana Tech, making three tackles, one tackle for loss and two QB pressures...Played as a backup linebacker at Houston and made one tackle for loss...Made his first collegiate start at strongside linebacker on at Georgia Tech and recorded two tackles and one QB pressure...Started at middle linebacker vs. Louisville, making five tackles, including three tackles for loss...Made one tackle at NC State, no tackles at North Carolina and Clemson, one tackle at Virginia, two tackles vs. Wake Forest and then played only on special teams vs. Virginia Tech...Played as a reserve in the Peach Bowl vs. Florida, making two assists.

2003 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the 2003 season as a redshirt...Competed with the scout team and impressed the coaching staff with his ability and instincts.

HIGH SCHOOL: Excellent athlete who was the anchor of a defense that advanced to the state championship game...Teamed with fellow UM signee Jon Beason to lead one of the state's top defensive units...As a junior in 2001, made 85 tackles, had five sacks and 10 tackles for losses...Rated the No. 26 linebacker in the nation by Super Prep...Rated the No. 93 player on the Orlando Sentinel's Florida Top 100...Chose Miami over Tennessee, North Carolina State, Florida and Florida State...Coached by Mark Guandola.
