[edit] Biography

Glenallen Hill (Glenallen Hill) was born on March 22, 1965 in Santa Cruz, California. He made his Major League debut on July 31, 1989 for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 1990, his rookie year, he hit .231 with 12 home runs and 32 RBI. Hill played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees and Anaheim Angels over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Glenallen Hill's best season was 1995, when he slugged 24 home runs, stole 25 bases and knocked in 86 runs.

Hill was also one of the players named in baseball's Mitchell Report. According to the report, Hill met former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski in 2000. Hill confided in Radomski that the HGH he was taking at the time wasn't working, and Radomski became, after giving Hill a trial bottle, became Hill's new supplier. Radomski was able to produce a check for $3,200 that covered his usual cost of 2 kits of HGH, and Hill's name, address, and telephone number were found in Radomski's address book.

Hill's current position (as first base coach for the Colorado Rockies) required him to speak to investigators for the Mitchell Report, and his story differed from Radomski's in several ways. Hill claims that he contacted Radomski through a fellow player known only as "David." According to Hill, he phoned Radomski approximately 5 times, discussing steroids, their use, and their effects. Hill says that the steroids that he purchased from Radomski in 2000 or 2001 were never used, and that "marital stress" caused him not to use the performance-enhancing drugs. He did not elaborate. Hill also declined to name fellow players that he discussed steroids with during his career, stating that it would hurt his coaching career.
