The Mets announced today that they had re-signed Tom Glavine to a one-year deal. Glavine was 15-7 last season with a 3.82 ERA for the Mets, and was also selected as a NL all-star.
Glavine had said that he would sign with either the Mets or the Braves, the Braves being the place he spent the majority of his career and won his two Cy Young awards.
Glavine said that the Mets' offensive ability helped him to make his decision, as he is only 10 wins away from 300.
