Born on November 18, 1953 in Bronx, New York, Gil Rondon (Gilberto Rondon) played for the Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 2 year career. Rondon broke into the bigs on April 10, 1976 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 5.70 ERA in 53.2 innings pitched in 1976, his rookie year.
