Gil Bergerson (Gilbert Charles Bergerson) was born on July 19, 1910 in Vernonia, Oregon. After going to high school at Vernonia (OR), Bergerson attended Oregon State University. Bergerson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1932 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Bears over the course of his 4 year career.
