Giff Zimmerman (Gifford Guy Zimmerman) was born on August 25, 1900 in Akron, Ohio. After going to high school at Central (Akron, OH), Zimmerman attended Syracuse University. Zimmerman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1924 with the Akron Pros. He played for the Canton Bulldogs and Akron Pros over the course of his 2 year career.
