Gibbons Goes Back on the DL

Baltimore Orioles OF Jay Gibbons will head back to the DL after aggravating his right knee durign Tuesday's game. "You can't play at 70 percent, and I'm getting to learn that," Gibbons said. "I've played hurt a lot before in the past, but if you can't run and you can't cut, it states the obvious. I really need to get this thing better. I injured it trying to tag up. It just kind of totally went out on me, and then it was just done." Jeff Conine and Brandon Fahey will fill-in for Gibbons.

Gibbons never panned out the way I expected him to. I think all of these nagging injuries really capped off his talent.

Gibbons is an average player, defensively though..he's below average. Sooner or later (I hope) he'll be moved to first or DH. I don't understand why he was starting in the outfield in the first place last night after just coming back from the DL.
