Beating the Dolphins 13-10 was expected, because the Giants are better. More experience and better players helped the Giants get the victory.
The slatternly field in London wasn't exciting, but great game either way.
"When you're on a world stage, you want to be representative of what the best the NFL has to offer," Feely said. "You didn't the see the aerial game that the NFL provides on a weekly basis because of the conditions."
The condition wasn't good, and it affected the game.
"I think overall the camaraderie of the team is a lot better," Fred Robbins said. "We are just coming together. There is unity on the team. We understand we've been in this position a couple of times before and we don't want a relapse."
The Giants succeeded, and more success is coming.
"Healthy, we're healthy, that's the difference," said Michael Strahan. "That is going to be the key for us going forward."
That's the key, and the Giants need it. Being healthy is important, because the last three seasons the Giants failed.
This season should bring success, because it's needed. The Giants have talent, but always underachieve.
"Guys are more responsive to each other," Grey Ruegamer said. "I think the team is a little closer than it was a year ago and guys are responding to that. We're 5-2. We like winning and we like the feeling."
They didn't have confidence in the past, and that caused ineffectiveness.
Brandon Jacobs played great, and rushed for 131 yards. The first quarter Lawrence Tynes kicked a 20 yard field goal. The Giants were up 3-0.
The second quarter Eli Manning rushed for a touchdown; the score was 10-0. Late in the second Tynes kicked a field goal; the score was 13-0.
The Dolphins scored 10 points, but didn't win. Their horrible, and Cam Cameron will be "fired." Making the playoffs wasn't happening, but they were expected to improve.
"We're going to keep our eyes up, our heads high," Cam Cameron said. "This group's got a lot of football left this season. There are eight games staring at us."
The Dolphins are failing, and it will continue this season.
Manning wasn't impressive, and hasn't improved. He didn't threw a touchdown pass, and wasn't effective. Field goals helped the Giants win.
"Sports fans and the world know that's the nature of sport," said Mark Waller, the NFL's vice president for international affairs. "It's unpredictable. You don't know what you're going to get. That's the beauty of sports."
The Giants played great, and that's most important.
"We won, so obviously it was worth it," said Osi Umenyiora.
This success should continue.
