Gerry Weatherly (Gerald Craft Weatherly) was born on December 26, 1928 in Houston, Texas. After going to high school at Cuero (TX), Weatherly attended Rice University. Weatherly made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1950 was Gerry Weatherly's best year, as he ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
