Gerry Snyder (Gerald Theodore Snyder) was born on August 6, 1905 in Windber, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Bellefonte Academy (Bellefonte, PA) and Windber (PA), Snyder attended the University of Maryland. Snyder made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the New York Giants. He played for the Staten Island Stapletons and New York Giants over the course of his 2 year career.
