Gerald Irons (Gerald Dwayne Irons) was born on May 2, 1947 in Gary, Indiana. After going to high school at Roosevelt (Gary, IN), Irons attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Irons made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1977 was Gerald Irons's best year, as he picked off 3 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
