George Yankowski (George Edward Yankowski) was born on November 19, 1922 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on August 17, 1942 for the Philadelphia Athletics. Yankowski played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 2 year career.
