George Vukovich

George Vukovich (George Stephen Vukovich) was born on June 24, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1980 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1982, his rookie year, he hit .272 with 6 home runs and 42 RBI. Vukovich played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that George Vukovich's best season was 1984, when he hit for a .304 average and knocked in 60 runs.
