George Townsend

George Townsend (George Hodgson Townsend) was born on June 4, 1867 in Hartsdale, New York. He made his Major League debut on June 25, 1887 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1888, his rookie year, he hit .155 with 0 home runs and 12 RBI. Townsend played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 4 year career.
