George Strohmeyer (George Ferdinand Strohmeyer) was born on January 27, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri. Strohmeyer attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University and the University of Notre Dame. Strohmeyer made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Chicago Hornets and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1948 was George Strohmeyer's best year, as he picked off 4 passes.
