George Mrkonic (George Ralph Mrkonic) was born on December 17, 1929 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at McKeesport (PA), Mrkonic attended the University of Kansas. Mrkonic made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
