George McQuinn

George McQuinn (George Hartley McQuinn) was born on May 29, 1910 in Arlington, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1936 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1936, his rookie year, he hit .201 with 0 home runs and 13 RBI. McQuinn played for the Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Athletics and New York Yankees over the course of his 12 year career.
Most people believe that George McQuinn's best season was 1939, when he slugged 20 home runs, hit for a .316 average and knocked in 94 runs.
