George Martin (George Dwight Martin) was born on February 16, 1953 in Greenville, South Carolina. After going to high school at Armijo (Fairfield, CA), Martin attended the University of Oregon. Martin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 14 year career.

Most people believe that 1985 was George Martin's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown and recorded 10 sacks.
