George Mappes (George Richard Mappes) was born on December 25, 1865 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on September 23, 1885 for the Baltimore Orioles. Mappes played for the Baltimore Orioles and St. Louis Maroons over the course of his 2 year career.
