George Maisel (George John Maisel) was born on March 12, 1892 in Catonsville, Maryland. He made his Major League debut on May 1, 1913 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1921, his rookie year, he hit .310 with 0 home runs and 43 RBI. Maisel played for the St. Louis Browns, Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that George Maisel's best season was 1921, when he hit for a .310 average.
