George Izo (George William Izo) was born on September 20, 1937 in Barberton, Ohio. After going to high school at Barberton (OH), Izo attended the University of Notre Dame. Izo made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Washington Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1963 was George Izo's best year.
