George Hekkers (George Hekkers) was born on February 18, 1923 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Washington (Milwaukee, WI), Hekkers attended the University of Wisconsin. Hekkers made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Miami Seahawks. He played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Miami Seahawks the entire time. Hekkers also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Detroit Lions the entire time.
