George Hays (George William Hays) was born on August 29, 1924 in Glassport, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Glassport (PA), Hays attended St. Bonaventure University. Hays made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1952 was George Hays's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown and ran back a punt for a touchdown.
