George Hastings (George William Hastings) was born on September 21, 1905 in Malden, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Malden (MA), Hastings attended Ohio University. Hastings made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Portsmouth Spartans. He played for the Portsmouth Spartans for his entire 2 year career.
