Born on December 25, 1866 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, George Haddock (George Silas Haddock) played for the Washington Senators, Buffalo Bisons, Boston Reds, Brooklyn Bridegrooms and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 7 year career. Haddock broke into the bigs on September 27, 1888 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.20 ERA in 276.1 innings pitched in 1889, his rookie year.

Most people believe that George Haddock's best season was 1891, when he posted a 2.49 ERA, won 34 games and struck out 169 batters.
