Born on January 6, 1903 in East Tallassee, Alabama, George Grant (George Addison Grant) played for the St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 7 year career. Grant broke into the bigs on September 17, 1923 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 6.31 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched in 1924, his rookie year.
