Born on November 2, 1874 in Greenwood, New York, George Bell (George Glenn Bell) played for the Brooklyn Superbas for his entire 5 year career. Bell broke into the bigs on April 17, 1907 with the Brooklyn Superbas, and put up a 2.25 ERA in 263.2 innings pitched in 1907, his rookie year.

Most people believe that George Bell's best season was 1909, when he posted a 2.71 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 95 batters.
