George Gibson (George C. Gibson) was born on July 22, 1880 in London, Ontario (Canada). He made his Major League debut on July 2, 1905 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1905, his rookie year, he hit .178 with 2 home runs and 14 RBI. Gibson played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Giants over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that George Gibson's best season was 1909, when he knocked in 52 runs.
