Born on November 13, 1895 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, George Dumont (George Henry Dumont) played for the Washington Senators and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 5 year career. Dumont broke into the bigs on September 14, 1915 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 3.06 ERA in 53 innings pitched in 1916, his rookie year.
Most people believe that George Dumont's best season was 1917, when he posted a 2.55 ERA and struck out 65 batters.
