George Decker (George A. Decker) was born on June 1, 1869 in York, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on July 11, 1892 for the Chicago Colts. In 1892, his rookie year, he hit .227 with 1 home run and 28 RBI. Decker played for the Chicago Colts, St. Louis Perfectos, Louisville Colonels and Washington Senators over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that George Decker's best season was 1894, when he hit for a .313 average and knocked in 92 runs.
