Born on February 22, 1868 in Portage, Wisconsin, George Davies (George Washington Davies) played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Cleveland Spiders and New York Giants over the course of his 3 year career. Davies broke into the bigs on August 18, 1891 with the Milwaukee Brewers, and put up a 2.65 ERA in 102 innings pitched in 1891, his rookie year.
