George Daney (George Anthony Daney) was born on September 2, 1946 in Washington, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Avella (PA), Daney attended the University of Detroit Mercy and the University of Texas-El Paso. Daney made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs the entire time. Daney also played in the NFL for 5 years, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs the entire time.

Most people believe that 1969 was George Daney's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
