George Christensen (George Washington Christensen) was born on December 13, 1909 in Pendleton, Oregon. After going to high school at Aberdeen Prep and Pendleton (OR) Prep, Christensen attended the University of Oregon. Christensen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Portsmouth Spartans. He played for the Detroit Lions and Portsmouth Spartans over the course of his 8 year career.
