George Cheverko

George Cheverko (George Francis Cheverko) was born on July 29, 1920 in Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Hazelton (PA), Cheverko attended Fordham University. Cheverko made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the New York Giants. He played for the Washington Redskins and New York Giants over the course of his 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1947 was George Cheverko's best year, as he picked off 3 passes.
