George Scott (George Charles Scott) was born on March 23, 1944 in Greenville, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on April 12, 1966 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1966, his rookie year, he hit .245 with 27 home runs and 90 RBI. Scott played for the Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 14 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was George Scott's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1975, when he slugged 36 home runs, hit for a .285 average and knocked in 109 runs. However, others believe that it was 1973, when he slugged 24 home runs, hit for a .306 average and knocked in 107 runs.
