George Case

George Case (George Washington Case) was born on November 11, 1915 in Trenton, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on September 8, 1937 for the Washington Senators. In 1938, his rookie year, he hit .305 with 2 home runs and 40 RBI. Case played for the Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 11 year career.
Most people believe that George Case's best season was 1943, when he stole 61 bases, hit for a .294 average and knocked in 52 runs.
