George Buksar (George Benjamin Buksar) was born on August 12, 1926 in Whiting, Indiana. After going to high school at George Rogers Clark (Hammond, IN), Buksar attended Purdue University and the University of San Francisco. Buksar made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1949 with the Chicago Hornets. He played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Hornets the entire time. Buksar also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Colts over the course of his 3 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1950 was George Buksar's best year, as he picked off 6 passes.
