[edit] Biography

Born on June 8, 1935 in Houghton, Michigan, George Brunet (George Stuart Brunet) played for the Kansas City Athletics, Milwaukee Braves, Houston Colt .45s, Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Angels, California Angels, Seattle Pilots, Washington Senators, Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 15 year career. Brunet broke into the bigs on September 14, 1956 with the Kansas City Athletics, and put up a 4.95 ERA in 60 innings pitched in 1960, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was George Brunet's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1968, when he posted a 2.86 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 132 batters. However, others believe that it was 1965, when he posted a 2.56 ERA and struck out 141 batters.
