Born on April 18, 1869 in Sacramento, California, George Borchers (George Bernard Borchers) played for the Chicago White Stockings and Louisville Colonels over the course of his 2 year career. Borchers broke into the bigs on May 18, 1888 with the Chicago White Stockings, and put up a 3.49 ERA in 67 innings pitched in 1888, his rookie year.
