George Binks (George Alvin Binks) was born on July 11, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 23, 1944 for the Washington Senators. In 1945, his rookie year, he hit .278 with 6 home runs and 81 RBI. Binks played for the Washington Senators, Philadelphia Athletics and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that George Binks's best season was 1945, when he hit for a .278 average and knocked in 81 runs.
