George Barclay (George Oliver Barclay) was born on May 16, 1876 in Millville, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1902 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1902, his rookie year, he hit .300 with 3 home runs and 53 RBI. Barclay played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Beaneaters over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that George Barclay's best season was 1902, when he stole 30 bases, hit for a .300 average and knocked in 53 runs.
