George Amundson (George Arthur Amundson) was born on March 31, 1951 in Pendleton, Oregon. After going to high school at Central (Aberdeen, SD), Amundson attended Iowa State University. Amundson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1974 was George Amundson's best year, as he ran in 4 TDs.
