George Alusik (George Joseph Alusik) was born on February 11, 1935 in Ashley, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 11, 1958 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1962, his rookie year, he hit .270 with 11 home runs and 35 RBI. Alusik played for the Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Athletics over the course of his 5 year career.
