Born on December 19, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland, Geoff Zahn (Geoffrey Clayton Zahn) played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Minnesota Twins and California Angels over the course of his 13 year career. Zahn broke into the bigs on September 2, 1973 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and put up a 2.03 ERA in 79.2 innings pitched in 1974, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Geoff Zahn's best season was 1982, when he posted a 3.73 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 81 batters.
