Gene Taylor (Eugene Taylor) was born on November 12, 1962 in Berkeley, California. After going to high school at Salesian (Richmond, CA), Taylor attended California State University, Fresno and Contra Costa JC. Taylor made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1988 was Gene Taylor's best year.
