Gene Robertson (Eugene Edward Robertson) was born on December 25, 1898 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on July 4, 1919 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1923, his rookie year, he hit .247 with 0 home runs and 17 RBI. Robertson played for the St. Louis Browns, New York Yankees and Boston Braves over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Gene Robertson's best season was 1925, when he knocked in 76 runs.
